Itinerary Maker

A free itinerary maker for real trips

Build your own trip itinerary on desktop or tablet. Start with email and password, then organize flights, stays, activities, and restaurants into a private day-by-day solo plan without completing a profile. Continue with the same account in the Sorom app.

The Checklist

What a good itinerary maker actually needs

Search for a travel itinerary maker and you find two kinds of tool. One is a tidy template that leaves you copying confirmation numbers by hand. The other is a generator that writes a plan you never quite follow. A tool you will still be using on day six needs four things, and none of them is a template.

One place for every booking

Flights, a hotel, a rail pass, a rental car, a cooking class. Each arrives in its own confirmation email, and a plan that lives in five inboxes is not a plan. The maker should hold every item in one trip, with its time, place, and notes.

A day view you can read at a glance

You do not think in booking lists. You think in days. The tool should sort items by date and time on its own, so Tuesday shows the train, the check-in, and dinner in the order they happen.

Sharing that needs no account

A partner, a parent, or a travel companion should be able to open the plan from a link and read it. No sign-up on their side, and no editing rights they did not ask for.

Nothing that looks like a spreadsheet

Spreadsheets are where itineraries go to be ignored. Typed items, real dates, and a clean day view mean the plan is still readable on a phone at the gate.

Five Steps

Build your trip on desktop or tablet

The Sorom web app is a free online itinerary planner. Here is the whole flow, from a blank trip to a link you can send.

  1. Create your account

Open the web app and sign up with an email address and a password. Create your first private solo trip without completing a profile. There is no card step.

  2. Name the trip and set the dates

Give the trip a name and a start and end date. The day-by-day view is created from those dates, so every item you add later already has a day to land in.

  3. Add your items by type

Add each booking or idea as an item. Nine types are available, with fields appropriate to the type for dates, times, location and notes. Keep private booking codes out of content you intend to share publicly.

    • Flights
    • Lodging
    • Activities
    • Restaurants
    • Car rentals
    • Cruises
    • Rail
    • Transportation
    • Miscellaneous
  4. Review the day view

Switch to the day-by-day plan. Items sort themselves by time, gaps stand out, and a day with two dinners and no lunch is easy to spot. Move what needs moving and the plan updates.

  5. Share the link

Generate a read-only link to the public trip preview and review it before sending. It shows the public itinerary information rather than every private field. Anyone with the link can read that preview; editing and group participation have separate permissions.

Free manual planning. No card needed. Group collaboration continues in the mobile app.

Let AI draft the first version

Starting from a blank page is the slow part. In the Sorom app, Trip Builder is a travel itinerary generator that writes the first draft for you. Pick a mood, add one city or several with nights per city, and choose "Plan it all now" or "Plan as I go" to leave later days open.

Before generation, the mobile app can suggest changes to the route, dates, pace and budget. Review those suggestions and any feasibility indicators; they use available information and estimates, and do not guarantee that the itinerary will work as planned.

Check the current mobile app for AI trial and generation allowances. You can also research a multi-city route and enter the plan manually in the web itinerary maker.

Today plans one day at a time

The mobile Today feature can suggest a day plan using submitted moods and available trip, weather and budget information. Current plan limits apply, and you review the draft before accepting it.

In The App

From plan to trip

A plan on a laptop is a start. The app is what carries it through the airport, the platform, and the last hour before check-in.

Mobile flight updates

Configure eligible flight tracking in the mobile app to receive supported updates. Coverage and delivery depend on the provider, permissions and connectivity; continue to check airline information.

Packing lists

A packing list lives inside the trip, next to the dates and the weather it was written for. Tick things off as they go in the bag, and reuse it on the next trip.

Offline itineraries

Where your mobile plan supports offline access, save and check the specific itinerary content you need before disconnecting. Linked maps, documents and other services may still need a connection.

PDF, iCal, and text export

Send a PDF to a parent, import an iCal file into your calendar, or paste the text version into a group chat. Companions who never install anything still get the plan.

The mobile app is where companions join eligible shared trips, discuss and vote on options, and record expenses. Participants still need to review decisions and make any payments themselves.

Itinerary templates vs itinerary generators

A template is a blank structure: days down the side and slots to fill. It helps when you already know the trip and want a tidy place to write it down. It does nothing to help you choose.

An itinerary generator does the choosing. It suggests what to see, how long to stay, and in which order. It helps most on the first draft and least on the trip you have researched for months.

Use the approach that suits you: write your own plan, or review an AI draft in the mobile app and edit the items. The desktop/tablet web app supports manual solo planning. Compare other tools by the workflow you actually need.

Which plan do you need?

Manual solo planning is free in the web app. Check the mobile app for current AI, offline access, exports and other included features, store prices and retention terms; keep your own copy of essential travel information.

FAQ

Itinerary maker: common questions

Is this itinerary maker really free?

Yes. Manual solo itinerary planning is free on desktop and tablet. Sign up with email and password to create a private solo trip without completing a profile. No card is needed. AI planning is available separately in the mobile app; the web itinerary maker is manual.

Do I need to download the app?

You can build a manual solo trip and review nine kinds of itinerary item on desktop or tablet. Download the mobile app for AI planning, exports, offline access, safety tools, and group collaboration such as voting and expense splitting.

Can I share the itinerary with my travel companions?

The web app can generate a read-only public trip preview for people with the link. Review the preview before sharing it. Use the mobile app for invitations and collaborative features such as voting and group expenses, subject to participant permissions.

Does it work for multi-city trips?

On the web, manually add flights, rail and other transport between cities and review them in the day view. The mobile AI Trip Builder can draft a multi-city route under current allowances; verify suggested transfers and times before relying on it.

What happens to a free trip after it ends?

Retention depends on the current account and trip policies. Review the applicable terms in the app and keep a separate copy of essential information; do not rely on a marketing page as a permanent-storage guarantee.
