Maya is Sorom’s built-in mobile AI trip planner. A request such as “plan a relaxed three-day trip to Barcelona with food and architecture” can become an editable itinerary inside your trip.

With the context and permissions you provide, Maya can use your trip details, preferences and prior choices to tailor suggestions. Review the proposed results; personalization does not guarantee that a recommendation will fit.

Every change Maya proposes arrives as a preview card. You review it and confirm before anything touches your itinerary, so you're always in control of your own plan.

Maya can use available place, transport, currency and web information to draft an itinerary. Sources may be incomplete or outdated. Check entry rules, travel advisories and booking requirements directly with the relevant authority or provider.

Each suggestion appears as an action preview card. Add it, modify it, or skip it — nothing is saved to your trip until you say so, and Maya keeps an eye on your budget with green, yellow, and red indicators as the plan fills up.

Maya’s chat helps shape a trip as you go. The mobile AI Trip Builder can draft a day-by-day plan from your preferences and must-visit places, or create an outline in Plan as I go mode. Review the draft and current generation limits in the app before continuing.

Start from a mood board

Choose a mood board, add your must-visit places and ask the Trip Builder for an editable itinerary draft.

Multi-city trips

Plan several cities with a number of nights in each. The Trip Builder can suggest transfers between them; review routes, times and booking requirements.

Companions with compatibility scores

Invite fellow travelers from a companion picker that shows personality compatibility scores, so the group dynamic is part of the plan from day one.

Informed by community places

Generated items can be matched with Sorom’s community place information and coordinates. Community labels and route checks are useful context, not a guarantee of access, safety, accuracy or current opening hours.

Refine in conversation

Tell Maya what to change and she proposes precise edits: you confirm each one before it touches your draft, so the plan is never rewritten behind your back.

Plan as I go

Not every trip wants a schedule. Switch modes and the Trip Builder sets only the anchors: a placeholder stay in each city that you confirm when you book, the transfers between them, and your must-visit places pinned to sensible days. Every other day is left open with a one-line theme hint, and you fill it in on the trip.

Before It Builds

Advice on the trip, before there is a trip

Before generating an itinerary, the mobile app can suggest changes to the cities, sequence, pace and dates you entered. These recommendations are prompts to consider alongside your own priorities and current travel information.

Pick a base, not five hotels

When a city on your list is really a day trip, Sorom says so: "stay in Kyoto, day-trip to Osaka." One tap folds it in. The nights move onto your base city, so the trip stays exactly as long as it was, and you stop packing every other morning.

Nights where they earn their keep

Sorom can suggest redistributing nights between cities. Review the proposed dates and adjust them to your preferences before applying a change.

A better order

Sorom can propose a different sequence to reduce backtracking. Travel-time savings are estimates; check the actual transport you intend to book.

The season you actually booked

Seasonal recommendations may highlight weather, crowds or events relevant to your trip. Confirm current conditions and opening dates directly before planning around them.

Pace, and what sells out

Sorom can suggest a more manageable pace and identify activities that may need advance booking. Your preferred pace and actual availability still guide the final plan.

A money reality check

Budget recommendations help you compare an outline with estimated destination costs and transport options. Check current fares, fees and payment methods before booking.

Review each suggested structural change and its effect on the trip summary before applying it. You can dismiss suggestions. A positive assessment does not independently verify every part of the trip.

On the Trip

The planning does not stop when you land

The mobile Today feature can use the group’s submitted moods and trip context to propose a plan for the day. It is an optional planning aid; review the suggestions against current conditions and everyone’s preferences.

Everyone taps a mood

Travelers can choose a mood such as chill, adventurous, culture, foodie, recovery or surprise me, with an optional note. The group can use those responses when discussing the day.

Maya plans that day

An eligible trip owner or admin can request a day plan based on submitted moods and available trip, weather and budget information. Check the draft before accepting it.

Review or request another draft

Review the proposed day, accept it or request another draft within your current limits. A “Checks out” indicator reflects available route estimates; it is not a guarantee of feasibility or safety.

A nudge each morning

If enabled, mobile notifications can prompt travelers to share a mood for an open trip day. Delivery depends on permissions, device settings, connectivity and service availability.

How often you can request a day plan or another draft depends on your current mobile plan and any available trial. Check your remaining allowance before requesting another draft.

AI planning alongside mobile safety tools

Sorom also offers mobile check-ins, emergency-contact alerts, a panic button and a meetup PIN, subject to current plan and platform availability. Alerts depend on setup and connectivity. A meetup PIN links a meeting to an account; it is not a government-ID check or a safety guarantee.
